sometimes i wonder
i saw on older gentleman on the train today. he approaching a grandfatherly age. there was a giant red mark on the side of his neck. i sincerely hope that it was a rash and not a hickie.

i had something i’ve been giving a lot of though to and been meaning to post. when i opened up tumblr to follow through however, my mind went blank. so this is an ode to the forgotten post.
dear post, i am sorry i cannot remember what you were about.
yours truly,
me

hello flora expo! here i come.

there were SO many people there it took 10 minutes to find a place to sit and each lunch. it must have been a million times more crowded than disneyland.
i have a lot more photos. but i don’t wanna bore you with more flowers. email me if you wanna see more photos.
the best part of my visit of the xinyi eslite store (other than the cool artsy stuff) was the restroom! i entered the bathroom and bravely walked toward the stall hoping for a sit down toilet. i pushed the door open and much to my relief, i found a nice toilet before me. it was no porcelain throne, but i am not picky these days. a plastic one will do just fine.
a mechanical noise sounded as the lid lifted itself. startled, my heart skipped a beat. i closed the stall door and reopened it. there the toilet sat welcoming and friendly. i looked around scoping out the stall. not only was there a toilet but there was toilet paper AND toilet seat covers. tears almost came to my eyes. i sat down and my cheeks trembled with joy: a seat warmer! amazing.
here is the toilet in action

the box that controls it.

and a comforting sight for sore eyes

when i saw the taipei artist village listed in the tourist map i was really excited. finally i headed down there the other day. sadly i found it slightly anticlimactic. it was all contained in a little building. there weren’t any events going on so it was really quiet. i wasnt even quite sure if they were open other than the people sitting behind the desk. “there isnt much,” the lady behind the desk said. “there’s that room, those 2 walls, and a cow in the back.”
so i guess i can officially say “i visited the taipei artist village and all i got was this blurry picture of a cow.”
a slightly stretched and skewed obama on flashlights in taiwan. what does it all mean? is it some sort of american propaganda? is it implying that america lights the way in dark times? even though its skewed?
by the way. i got in trouble for taking this photo. it was one of those neighborhood “have little bit of everything” stores and the lady yelled at me for snapping this picture. “why did you take a picture?” she demanded. “because the american president is on a flashlight and we’re in taiwan,” i replied. “oh. well WE don’t allow photography here,” she says. “ok,” i say. “what is this? a museum?” i think to myself.
